Just want to be clear that I'll be celebrating your mom one-on-one instead of following through with my original idea. So sorry for things getting complicated, and I take full responsibility for not thinking things through. Live in' learn, I guess. 
I still love the idea of a going-away party in the spring though. That really sounds great.
