1) Plug into 10' ethernet wire sitting on floor, the one connected to the Buffalo router. 2) Log into new laptop. Mentally record the name of the computer. Start "Windows Easy Transfer". Follow the directions. 3) Log into old laptop, using wireless connection. Start "Windows Easy Transfer". Follow the directions, using the name of the new laptop. 4) Transfer all your crap. It should take about 20 minutes, I think. 5) Use new laptop. You can try the wireless to see if it works, but, if not, just continue to use the wired connection. 6) You can try connecting the Belkin keyboard/video/mouse switch, but it may not work the way you expect.
