Only if the wires get short-circuited preventing the signals getting to
the computer.

Sorry. I unplugged it when I plugged in the iPad. I forgot to plug the
printer back in.
I should really jail-break the iPad so I can put some sensible transfer
software on it instead of requiring a wire.
Did you plug the printer into the back of the computer on the lower right
(as you face the front of the computer)? That's where it was when I
unplugged it.
