=0AMy 101 year old Dad is failing fast - He has had blood clots in his urin=
e for the past few years and had cauterized at Mills Hosp last year or yr b=
efore and took an RX from his urologist that stopped it before. =A0Now he i=
s in assisted living in Vacaville where our older daughter takes care of hi=
m and our younger helps too but doesn't live close anymore. =A0He was rushe=
d to the ER because of the heavy bleeding and weakness.=A0=0A=0AHe had a CA=
T scan today and his docs think it is his kidneys, much more serious than m=
y Dad and his former urologist in S Mateo and Burlingame thought.=0A=0AWill=
let everyone know if he dies soon. =A0His only sib, brother Harold is stil=
l alive in Palm Desert - has been in Hospice in the skilled nursing section=
of the large retirement complex where he use to have an independent living=
apt. =A0He has COPD and not cancer and his docs at the hospital thought he=
would only live another 6 months at the most and this was 1 and 1/2 yrs ag=
o. =A0He was put on oxygen 24/7 and is in a wheelchair and can only walk ve=
ry short distances. =A0Harold will be 100 in Nov. though not expected to be=
alive then.=0A=0AThanks again for the article abt Marc - I thought I had s=
aved it, so will look again in my files but think he was able to remove it =
