I recently discovered that some people actually like snow. I simply cannot understand it. The weather here is too nice -- too little moisture prolonging and deepening the drought. > How are you two doing? Most recently, we attended Cinequest in downtown where-I-live. Saw several films, most of them documentaries. Last month, we listened to a presentation at our local atheist group on the book "The Bonobo and the Atheist". It did have interesting points, but, given the presentation, I was very confused about the summary and conclusions. I'll be getting my eyes looked at again at the end of this week. Nothing serious yet, but they want to keep an eye on it (yuck, yuck). Now that we've hit that special age, Noelle keeps getting mailings from AARP. I expect the same in a few months. At work, end-users are very unhappy with our spam-fighting abilities. I think there is too much legacy software in place that few people want to change and that doesn't help matters. We had to have our roof repaired and the tiles replaced. The rains a few months ago ruined our ceilings and we had to have them painted -- which was a total drag. In the coming weeks and months, we'll be seeing/listening to Robert Scheer, Barney Frank, and Ursula LeGuin; doing some stuff with the local childfree meetup group; and, attending a Rush concert in downtown San . There's a small possibility that my nephew will get an internship in our area and we may "host" him again. Plans will firm up in late April, I think. If you find yourself in the Bay Area, be sure to send us a note! > Â Mark Reimers > humanist, scientist, and mathematician
