One other thing I forgot to mention: you should consider using
temporary/virtual credit card numbers for all online purchases. See
http://lifehacker.com/5831160/use-virtual-credit-card-numbers-to-shop-safely-online-keeping-in-mind-the-downsides
I use Bank of America shopsafe and have 3 recurring payments and generate
a new shopsafe credit card number each time I make a purchase. This at
least lowers the risk of one of your existing credit cards getting
compromised. (I do not put any recurring purchases on my physical credit
cards and, of course, I never use them for online purchases.)
