There's a small possibility.

I found out that I had an old software package on my main computer that
kept failing to connect and it was restarting its network every 3 to 10
minutes.

I upgraded it.  It looks good so far.  That's what may have affected you.

Hopefully, it's better?  The network connection still seems a bit
sluggish.
