Yeah, definitely pointless.  Only a sump pump is effective because it
pumps out gallons per hour.  Even with the cheapest sump pump, it would
probably only take about 1 hour to clear out our basement.

I don't think it makes sense to try to buy a sump pump from a local store
since everybody probably is trying to get their hands on one right now and
only the shitty ones are left.
