Hi Robert! I was looking forward to your email! I love getting it every year. My year was moderately interesting. In February I took my youngest son - then 8 - to Rome. We only stayed 2 nights because there's only so much you can push on an 8-year-old. He had expressed the desire to see the Coliseum and I was thrilled to be able to take him. Apparently, he got the idea that it could collapse in an earthquake any day and wanted to see it before it did. He's not wrong, actually - half of it was destroyed by earthquake at some point in the past. After seeing it, he wasn't interested in much else other than eating ice cream and riding around on the open top bus. In May I took my oldest son (13) to Paris. We stayed four nights - all paid for with loyalty points. We had a great time. I had been several times but this trip with him was the best, yet. He made me go to the top of the Eiffel Tower and we went to Versaille - two things I had never bothered with on previous trips. He enjoyed visiting Ste Chappelle and enjoyed the Louvre - particularly the medieval stuff, which warmed my heart. In October, the whole family went to visit my cousins in Phoenix. This was our second trip to Arizona. We just love it because it's the opposite of Britain. We explored to the South this time (last time we went to the North/Grand Canyon) and visited places like Tombstone and crossed the border at Nogales. My cousin is moving to some place North of Fargo so I doubt we will be returning to Arizona. So we have managed to travel a bit. Other than that, very dull! I hope you and Noelle have a wonderful holiday/New Year. xx Katy
