This reminds me of my philosopher/scientist friend who said "the mind is clearly NOT disembodied" when I asked him "When will Ray Kurzweil be able to upload his brain to the cloud?" And, this reminded me of when we were listening to a podcast with E.O. Wilson on the way back from Santa Barbara where he said that humans can only ever live on planet Earth and nowhere else; we are forever tied to our bodies and to our planet. Humans are pretty limited.
