OK, I sent an email to the researcher.

Bummer.  I'm mostly pain free, 'tho my left leg is still much weaker than
my right.  I'm still going to physical therapy.

Right.  It doesn't look like we'll be having our summer potluck
extravaganza this year because of my inability to clean up the yard.  My
doctor still has me on weight (lifting, carrying, etc.) restrictions,
although I did manage to do some light weeding last weekend.

We may have a potluck thing in the fall.

In any case, please take a look at my calendar at
http://calendar.dummy.us.eu.org and we can schedule something
earlier than autumn if you'd like.  (The avocados are still green and so
are the persimmons.)
