Then, you have to go to your laptop manufacturer's web site and enter the code. It will give you a reset password code which you enter on your laptop. BTW, in general, it does not make sense to use a BIOS password since it only protects the computer itself and not the more valuable data that is contained on the computer. The better thing to do is to encrypt your hard drive. Of course, you'll then have to remember that password :-).
