I was reading articles about unions in high tech (I've been involved with Tech Workers Coaltion lately) and the Atari thing was mentioned in passing (as a failure), and was wondering if you knew anything about it. Guess not. This article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/politics/1984/03/18/unions-striking-out-in-high-tech-firms/d3127dcb-91be-4bbf-9618-3c2b605ed74d/?noredirect=on seems to indicate that there was a lot of anti-union sentiment which doomed the effort.
