science friday and chords

I started listening to Science Friday about the music of proteins.

Then, I wondered what a chord really is.  It's amazingly complicated,
surprisingly.  There are only a certain number of combinations, but it can
still be quite large.

It's weird how music notes are just an instantaneous thing, in some sense
only existing outside of our reality.
