I got a nastygram from the tax assessor last year because I had underpaid my property tax. It's a real drag and nerve racking. My current strategy is to send an autopayment that's about $1000 more than it should be. If I don't correct it to be the right amount before it gets sent, at least I won't be a delinquent :-).
