https://www.truthdig.com/articles/apocalyptic-capitalism/ I'm sure that, despite all we do, we have an enormous ecological footprint. I remember doing that survey about my footprint and the biggest single contributor was based on a calculation derived from the distance from our home to my workplace. I.e., commuting was the worse thing for the environment for me. (I'm sure that, for someone like Gail, diet and travel would have the biggest impacts, but not commuting, obviously.) If we really cared about the environment, we would join the homeless people on the Guadalupe River Trail, set up our tent, and scrape by however we could. We should all be envying the bravery and commitment of the homeless rather than deriding them.
