Robert Reich predicted long ago that this will be the Democrat century.
Once Trump loses, that will be exactly what will happen, for better or
worse. Probably a president Sanders or president Warren will not get a
lot of their core agenda done, but it should prove easier in the long run.
And, yeah, there will be some violence and struggle among the hardline
right wingers, but I don't think it will erupt into a full blown civil
war. (Or, maybe that's just my hope.)
If we have a depression, that will definitely be the best thing for the
planet and perhaps a chance for a president Sanders or president Warren to
shine.
