A few things.

 1) Bob really meant TLS (there is no such thing as TSL).
 2) Bob is using IMAPS, which is the secure version of IMAP.
 3) You use IMAP, but negotiates TLS/SSL over IMAP.
 4) There is no need to change since TLS/SSL over IMAP is just as secure as
    IMAPS.

Actually, let me double-check that #3 is actually happening.
