Gail - I realized that your computer also probably does not have speakers.
So, in addition to buying a webcam, you'd also have to buy speakers as
well.  You could probably get something similar to what Don has: anything
with a 3.5mm jack should be fine, but it will have to be powered
externally.

I couple of years ago, I bought these for Noelle's computer:

Alternatively, if you have a headphones, you could just use
those with no need for external power or anything like that.
