The problem with this is that it's not the ventilator that causes the
death, but rather that, if you are in such bad shape anyway, they put you
on a ventilator and you have a more likely chance of dying. I.e., it's
not that A causes B, but rather that B causes A.
And, it's true that not all doctors can be trusted, but I would say a vast
majority of them can be. Would you rather these people die at home
without ever seeing a doctor, not even knowing that they died of COVID-19
or some other cause? (Certainly, that would save us all money, but I
wouldn't want to deny people medical care just to save a few bucks.
