Thanks. My strategy is to get a cheapo FDA-approved hearing aid that I
can pay for with my Flexible Spending Account, just to see if it is useful
at all. My hope is that, in the long-term, hearing aids will be covered
under some or all of my medical insurance, perhaps by federal policy. At
that point, I can get a better hearing aid since I expect my hearing to
deteriorate, like my dad's, your dad, and my uncle.
