Cat watching Newsom on TV is hilarious.  At first I couldn't make out where
the cat was, but then realized it was a  black cat.

Sorry to hear about your exasperating delivery glitches with the
USPS––frustrating!  But maybe it is not systemic?  We've never had a
problem.  In fact, we routinely get our mail delivered even if the zip code
and/or address are wrong.  And when our carrier has a package or large
envelope that won't fit through our mail slot, he rings our door bell and
waits for us to answer.  In other words, he doesn't just leave the package
on our stoop.

While in Carmel, did you visit Tor House?  I didn't see photos; perhaps
you've already been there?
