You would think that an adapted, mutated virus would drop the loss of
smell as a side-effect since, presumably, people killing themselves due to
feeling depressed due to loss of smell would limit its spread.
It's too bad that synoschesia isn't explored here. I'd be curious how
people connect smells and tastes to colors or sounds.
This article reminded me of that horror movie "Perfect Sense". Look it
up.
I wonder if there will be a time when dating sites start using algorithms
that match people by smell. And, I wonder if that would march us all down
an even more dangerous path.
