Yeah, that's bizarre.  Is the author of the book assuming that there are
unlimited planetary resources available for humans?  I.e., that it wasn't
because of using up all the resources on Easter Island that contributed to
the demise of the Islanders?  It seems like this is precisely the
capitalist's attitude, not that of the socialist.

The inherent paradox is: how can you wrestle away the wealth from the rich
without violence and debasing the value of their lives?

project."  Pretty interesting concept.  Could it be that Keynesianism is
the ultimate in mind-control a la "They Live"?

It's surprising that the author of the book would dismiss Zimbardo's
study.  I'm not sure that you can consider all people to be "good",
either.
