Generally, employees who are full-time will receive up to 80 hours of leave, and employees who are not full-time and work a variable number of hours each week will have a lesser amount of leave available to them that is calculated using the methodology provided for in the statute (based on the number of hours they work). The number of hours you have available to you are reflected on your most recent wage statement. However, for those of you who work a variable number of hours each week, the number of hours you have available is also variable and may differ from the amount reflected on your wage statement. > > When Can I Use COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave? > > You are able to use the leave when you are unable to work or telework for any of the following reasons: > > * Caring for Yourself : The employee is subject to quarantine or isolation period related to COVID-19 as defined by an order or guidelines of the Ca Department of Public Health, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or a local health officer with jurisdiction over the workplace, has been advised by a healthcare provider to quarantine, or is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and seeking a medical diagnosis. > * Caring for a Family Member : The covered employee is caring for a family member who is subject to a COVID-19 quarantine or isolation period or has been advised by a healthcare provided to quarantine due to COVID-19, or is caring for a child whose school or place of care is closed or unavailable due to COVID-19 on the premises. > * Vaccine-Related : The covered employee is attending a vaccine appointment or cannot work or telework due to vaccine-related symptoms. > > > > How Do I Request this Leave? > > An assignment has been created in Salesforce specific to this leave called the �CA COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave.� Employees will add the applicable amount of time to their timecard under this �CA COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave� assignment. Unlike other requests for time off, you will NOT have to request time off for COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave in ADP.
