That chart with debt vs. presidents is really amazing. Generally, the
increase/year has been decreasing.
What's unfortunate is that this article does not talk about how that money
is being spent: more money than ever is being spent on defense and the
military. That's really the only way this sort of debt could ever be
sustained.
