I find the devolution of the 20th century belief in progress to what 
we have now a fascinating topic.(maybe I should read that book 
"Enigma of Reason")
Maybe some anti-vaccine, anti-mask people had bad experiences with 
the medical system due to having crappy medical insurance, plus mix 
that in with the failure of the education system to teach science in 
elementary  through high school which penetrates into peoples' minds 
effectively(especially understanding of the scientific method). It 
seems that many people find science elitist and only for people who 
go to college now. These are some of my thoughts provoked by the 
presentation
