I have to say that, after experiencing trying to fix up all the electronic
mess after my dad died, the internet is much less of a problem than the
tech companies that dominate it.  (Note that Apple isn't even mentioned in
the article, but that has been, by far, the most painful to deal with.)
In other words, the building of the internet could've gone in a different
direction, but it didn't.
