industries and those that support them (cars, military), less
greenhouse gases are emitted.

carbon emitted over time, despite what Planet of the Humans says

Nevertheless, neither of the above account for population increases or
access to higher-income lifestyles (i.e., moving into the overdeveloped
world or its standard of living).
