It's interesting how everyone has always tauted the benefits of
globalization as a way to avoid war and conflict, but this is a perfect
example of how it doesn't avoid anything.  There is clearly no simple
mechanism which can be used to steer away from disagreements -- which
makes global politics way more complex.
