My roof guy came over to work more on the tile-side water leak, and he told me that the black tape used to cover the legs of the solar panels may be insufficient to prevent water leaks on this silicon foam roof; he said that it's already started curling up in the recent heat and the loose tape could trap water. He recommended using a plyable mesh with some silicon chaulk on it to allow it to expand and contract in the heat. In addition, he was saying that the metal pipe conduit on roof which has the electric wiring going into it is at an angle that could allow water to enter the pipe. He suggested either making the wires less taut so it can be tipped down, or to bend the pipe down so it's less likely to get water into it. This won't cause leaks into the house, but he was concerned that it may allow water to get into the electrical system. I know that our contact covers water leaks, but just thought you should know. > From: Production Simply Solar <http://www.simplysolarca.com/~production> > Date: Tue, 27 Dec 2022 16:34:45 -0800 > > Hi Robert, > > Thanks for the confirmation.
