Yes, this is the correct thing.
Is Dan Biederman a Certified Financial Planner (CFP)? And, did you have
him develop a comprehensive financial plan for you? See

for what that would mean. Having such a plan may allow you to project
whether you'll have enough assets for the remainder of your retirement.
