You should research how much it would cost per year if you were to get
financing for buying a new car to see if that would be more or less
expensive than what we've been paying per annum for repairs.  If it's
less, then it seems like buying another car would be worth it.

I never got an answer from my co-worker about whether he has range anxiety
with his Chevy Volt.  The idea of a hybrid electric is compelling, but
perhaps an electric vehicle would also work.
