This made me realize that maybe I've been thinking about this all wrong:
it's not capitalism per se that cultivates racism, but any hierarchical
system, including authoritarian regimes such as Cuba. A "state" is the
best example of this since it has every incentive to maintain racist
attitudes to keep us all distracted and away from focusing on the real
enemies of the people.
