The criticism might be fair.  Nevertheless, people still read Pravda
during the Soviet Union times, even though they knew that it was canned --
they were able to read between the lines.

Same for NPR.  It's pretty obvious when they are towing the corporate or
government line.  You just have to be aware of it.
