For young Americans, politics breaks the American dream instead of building it

This reminds me of the lyric from Phil Ochs: "We'll give you a leader that
you can elect."  In that case, he was talking about the United States and
foreign coups, but, in this case, I'm referring to the millionaire and
billionaire classes allowing Americans to only vote for people that pass
their muster.

Despite ranked choice voting being more complicated, I think another
voting system would at least make people, including young people, feel
like they were more involved, even if policies change very slowly.
