Guest Arrival and Departure For safety measures, you may arrive on property beginning at 2:00pm and check into your guest room after 4:00pm. Please Note: - Accommodations include towels and soap, and beds are prepared by housekeeping. **Guests in sleeping bag accommodations share floor space and must bring their own pillows, bedding, sleeping mat, etc. - Due to our remote location, there is no cell phone service at Esalen. Internet access is very limited. - We have public payphones and a public WiFi network available in the Lodge outside of meal times. Esalen (Slates) Hot Springs & Swimming Pool Our cliffside hot springs are a reverent place of relaxation and healing. For many, these sacred waters are at the heart of the Esalen experience. As co-stewards with the Esselen Tribe of Monterey Country of these special hot springs, we place the utmost importance on the baths being both a sacred and welcoming place for all. Communal bathing and individual tubs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Esalen hot spring baths and swimming pool are clothing optional spaces. Esalen Massage & Healing Arts Massages and Alternative Healing Arts services may be reserved online up to two months in advance.
