Glad to hear from you, but sad that you (and others) are fleeing the bay area. I think I remember Walter; didn't he play Peruvian guitars, or something like that, and do mostly database work at Barra? I'm pretty sure, since it takes me forever to find new friends, that I'm stuck here in the bay area until death. (On the other hand, if all friends leave the bay area, I may have to reconsider! So far, a majority have stayed put.) Coincidentally, we got back from a trip to L.A. today where we visited Noelle's childhood friend who (along with her husband) is moving to the east coast from Ca. So, the exodus may not be limited to the bay area. I'm happy to hear that you've joined a cohousing community. That's something that Noelle and I have been looking into. We started looking into it when we were in (the Old Oakland cohousing project), but the finances just didn't work out for us at the time. And trying to bring cohousing to the south bay has been, at best, an uphill battle. In any case, good luck with the move and your new life in the northwest! > From: Peter Hand <http://profiles.yahoo.com/pkhandwww> > Date: Thu, 25 Jul 2024 23:33:03 +0000 (UTC) > > Hi Robert, > I'm on a train to Vancouver that just passed through Olympia, which made me > think of you.
