Congratulations – your Plan Set A Earthquake Retrofit is installed - just a
few more steps to go!

Please Read This Entire Email Thoroughly - It Includes VERY IMPORTANT
Details To Ensure The Successful Final Inspection Required To Receive Your
EBB Reimbursement!

FINAL INSPECTION SCHEDULING AND INSTRUCTIONS:

We have your Final Inspection requested for July 20, 2024

Please note we can only schedule the date at this time. The inspector will
be contacting you the morning of your inspection to let you know a more
definitive time of arrival. The inspection itself typically takes no more
than 20 minutes.

*IMPORTANT: We have either mailed or delivered your permit pack. If you do
not have your permit pack, please let us know ASAP so we can make sure you
have it before your inspection.

The permit pack includes your Final Inspection Sign-Off Sheet, your permit
(sometimes the permit and sign-off card are combined into a single
document, aka “Permit Record”), the job site copy of your plans and often,
city/county inspection info and contact information. *Please keep your
Permit Pack easily available for your inspector to sign off during their
inspection. THE SIGN-OFF CARD IS REQUIRED TO PASS YOUR FINAL INSPECTION.

SMOKE & CO DETECTOR INSPECTION AND REQUIREMENTS:
Inspectors are required to inspect your smoke alarm(s), carbon monoxide
detector(s), and to confirm that your water heater is properly
strapped/secured. You will need to make sure these items are in compliance
with your local building department’s requirements before your inspection.

You will need to access this unique link to show your inspector to review
your project without having to enter the crawl space. Please check the link
to see that it takes you to your assets. We highly recommend you download
this folder and contents to your computer for your home improvement
records. We also encourage you to review the AFTER photos to see your full
retrofit!

If your inspector has any questions or concerns while onsite, please call
or ask them to contact Kevin Cowan at 707.622.5676. We will likely be able
to resolve any issues in real time over the phone.

EBB NEXT STEPS:

**EMAIL US THE SIGNED FINAL INSPECTION CARD and INSPECTOR’S FULL NAME**

After the inspector signs your inspection card or sends a signed 'Final' to
you via email, please email either a photo or PDF so we can complete the
EBB dashboard upload requirements.   If your permit is a double-sided
document, please include both sides when sending it to us.

IMPORTANT: The EBB dashboard requires the full name of your inspector -
please confirm and share with us the inspector's full name and contact
information. A picture of their business card is ideal, even if they are
not passing your inspection, this way we can contact them directly and
usually resolve any issues without the need for a 2nd inspection
appointment.

When we receive your signed final inspection card via email, it is uploaded
along with all of your required EBB final assets to your dashboard. Once we
have completed this step, we will email you the brief final instructions
detailing the steps to Submit for Final Approval/Reimbursement.

Please note:  Because you are the EBB program applicant and for accounting
purposes we cannot accept payment on your behalf.  You must select
yourself, the "Homeowner", as the recipient of the EBB payment.
