In some ways, this contradicts Ari Berman's thesis that it is the American
constitution which brought the United States to the point where the
minority rules, because, I would assume, the French constitution is
different and, yet, the same thing is happening.
It seems like a confluence based on power, opportunity, and racism all
across the board.
