The demographic change was something that Ari Berman's article briefly
mentioned, but it will be obvious that more and more of the United States
is going to be controlled by fewer and fewer people simply because of
people flocking to cities.

To me, the real problem are the employers, i.e., the owning class, that
insist that their workers come into the office.  That will continue this
bad trend.  If more people were allowed to work remotely, more people
could occupy these rural spaces and, possibly, change things.
