I wonder why some people "think like an elephant", and others don't? I
mean, why do some people feel empathy for people and want to help them,
indirectly or directly? And why do others feel nothing and feel that they
should suffer their own fate?
Maybe it's the mixture of the power structure and extreme individualism
that are the problem. By unwinding power structures (e.g., government
agencies), you are creating more individualism. The real question is:
are these power structures a perfect reflection of people cooperating? In
other words, is it possible to reduce individualism and create more
cooperation without also needing to bolster and concentrate these power
structures?
Another question is: if anything is left of the power structure, will
what's remaining just be used to crush non-individualist movements, such
as cooperatives and collectives? Is the only choice between socialism or
anarchism and anything in-between will always be a failure?
