I set up WhatsApp with our landline number.  That should work, but you
won't have a phone number on Gail's phone unless you get a SIM card in
Cuba.  Certainly not necessary, but I do recommend bringing enough cash
because I will not, under any circumstances, send you any money.  (If you
have to live on the island of Cuba for the rest of your life, I'll send
you postcards, but that's it.)

You may want to practice stuffing cash into various spots on your body
soon.  If it doesn't work, then I recommend buying more cash-carrying
things from REI.
