You should just keep using web.skype.com . It will force you to convert
at some point. You'll continue to use the same username and password.

I think this is true. Teams is a lot more limited, I've found.
She could try the Bing News app within Teams, but it may be much more
limited. She may have to manually copy info from the news feed into
OneNote by hand.
