Wait.  Is Ernst saying that some of us won't die?  I don't get it.

I like the analogy to scientific thought in the Soviet Union.

I don't understand why anybody likes any of this policy or many past
policies.  I guess I'm too rational and like to mull things over.  Perhaps
our society is regressing to irrationality and we are entering a new dark
age.
