Well, while it makes sense for Newsom to say this and maybe even act upon
it, despite it being against the federal law, it doesn't make sense as a
Democrat which should support big government.  If this were successful, it
could set a very, very bad precedent that would allow other states (e.g.,
Texas) to also stop paying their taxes, which would be Grover Norquist's
wet dream of drowning the federal government in a bathtub.
