Yeah, I was curious about this. I guess this really points to the true strength of the "owners" over the "non-owners" (e.g., NIMBY-ism and crime crackdowns). It's no wonder that there's an inflation problem. I agree with the article: not only is there nothing that can be done, but anything that would be attempted, would get lots of pushback from the "owner class".
