Wow, what a year.  I'm happy to have low-key years (like this year), but
your solstice message was a lot more interesting!

W.r.t. protests: yeah, the conservative wings here and in Israel are very
powerful these days and are not keen on reporting any protests against
what is happening to the Palestinians.  These are some terrible times, and
perhaps my message didn't adequately reflect that.
