On another subject, we were listening to a podcast episode,
https://www.cbc.ca/radio/ideas/we-have-never-been-woke-musa-al-gharbi-9.6957598
. Rather depressing analysis of the state of opposition to the, well, the
state of things. Seems pretty spot on, but, since most working people
aren't questioning the value of capitalism and their class relations,
don't know how to escape this dilemma (which I think is the point of the
argument).
Maybe AI will displace so many "knowledge" workers that everybody will
move to the lower class; maybe this is the second "industrial revolution"?
I have a lot of doubts, 'tho, since most of these workers control a lot of
political power -- it may take a while.
