Re: corporations are people



I only bring up canonization of corporations because that could be another way that religion could affect moral values. I guess the real question is whether religion should contribute to and/or enforce moral values or whether the populace should be the driver of such moral values. I know that, in Islam, lending money is haram (forbidden) and that certainly influences the moral values of the way corporations operate in certain countries (Iran comes to mind). But, if corporate behavior is disciplined by boycotts, then it's the general public imposing its moral values. (Note that I only mention boycotts because, presumably, Mike Johnson would be against having the politicians disciplining corporations.)
